Sewing for my Mom

I finally finished the bag I've been working on for my mom for Mother's Day.  It has a few issues because it was my first time working with interfacing, but overall I'm fairly happy with it.

The fabric is from a Joel Dewberry line, but I can't remember the name of it.  It was fitting for my mom and I got almost 1.5 yards for under $5.  It was a very exciting deal.

As you can see, it has a tie closure at the top.

I designed it to be like a beach bag or picnic bag so I didn't think it needed a zipper or anything like that.

I hope she likes it.  I'm very excited to finally get to spend a Mother's Day with her.
